One-on-One Coaching

Please note One-on-One Coaching services are currently unavailable.

The relationship you have with your horse is exclusive and not transferable, this is why I work with horse and human to find a place where two become one. There is no boss, but rather a flow of communication from both parties bringing harmony to the relationship.

Coaching sessions are tailored to suit your needs and can address all the challenges we face with our horses including biting, kicking, rearing, issues under saddle and float loading. As well as undesirable behaviour around feeding, leading, being caught and handling issues that may be present around the farrier or other people who come in contact with your horse.

It’s important that both horse and human contribute to the relationship, so we also look at areas where you as the human can improve. If you have lost your confidence after an accident or time away from horses I can help you restore your confidence in your horse and in yourself.

Working in a one-on-one environment I will guide you to nurture and build a harmonious relationship with your horse. You will gain an understanding of how horses use their body to communicate. How your energy and breath impacts you and your horse and how your mindset can enhance your horse-human partnership.

I work in a variety of ways but predominantly from the ground. Sessions typically include working in a halter and lead or at liberty. If your relationship on the ground is challenging it’s only going to get worse in the saddle. For this reason I take things back to basics so you can create a successful partnership on the ground and under saddle.

Once you’ve laid a new foundation to build upon I can guide and support you and your horse on your training journey. Whether your desire is to go on leisurely trail rides or something a little more challenging, it is possible to have an equal partnership and achieve your goals.

What You Can Expect

Each new client experience begins with a free 30min phone consultation to assess your needs and confirm your goals. Your horse-human relationship is unique, so the call and advice given is tailored specifically for you, your environment and your lifestyle.

In person coaching takes place initially at your horses’ place of residence, this is to ensure you and your horse feel safe in a familiar environment. Travel charges apply.

Your initial in person consultation and coaching session will take 1.5hrs. During this time I will gain an insight into how you and your horse communicate with each other, any areas of concern and how we can work together to address them.

Ongoing in person coaching sessions are booked for a minimum of 1hr. These sessions help you advance your relationship and work on the challenges that inevitably arise when you start making progress.

Each 1hr coaching session begins with a review of what you’ve been working on, approximately 40mins of hands on coaching and ends with a debrief where I will give you exercises to work on between sessions and things to be looking out for or be mindful of.

I offer three levels of ongoing coaching. Remote coaching is suitable for people outside my travel area or for those who want continued support during the winter months where inclement weather can impact on availability.

REMOTE 1:1 COACHING

Remote 1:1 Coaching takes place online via Zoom and can be booked in 30min allocations. Each 30min allocation includes a review of 5mins of video footage that you provide prior to your booking.

STANDARD 1:1 COACHING

Standard 1:1 In Person Coaching is the most popular option and includes 1 hour of coaching at your horses’ place of residence (travel charges apply). Ongoing support is not available with standard 1:1 coaching.

PREMIUM 1:1 COACHING

Premium 1:1 In Person Coaching includes 1 hour of coaching at your horses’ place of residence (travel charges apply) PLUS three weeks of ongoing support via Voxer, a walkie talkie style voice messaging app.
